Honoring The Legacy of Eric Outlaw
In 2005, Eric Outlaw called the telephone number on a For Lease sign in the window of the Melroys Building at 4254 Manchester Avenue. It was a building in an area that needed special people like Eric Outlaw to help both the building and the area, now known as The Grove, fulfill their potential.
Eric Outlaw, an immensely talented young man was also searching for a path towards reaching his full potential. Eric was a passionate man who was also an exceptional artist. He opened his Tattoo business in the Melroys Building and grew it to become one of the most popular and sought after shops in St. Louis. He operated his business with the highest standards and ethics. He was aware of his status as a role model for young black men, women and children and operated his business accordingly.
Eric’s business and The Grove grew together. As Eric grew his business to become a premiere location to get an exceptional body art experience, the Grove has grown to become a premiere and exceptional destination for enjoyment for St. Louis and its visitors from around the world. It was a perfect relationship of needing each other and growing together. Eric Outlaw will always be a primary reason for the transformation of The Grove and for the many young lives that he inspired.
Eric Outlaw’s full tribute will be released during the Grand Opening in the Spring of 2024.
